ABOUT US

The Green Philo was named after the Greek word philo, meaning “love”, “friend”, or “leaf”. Our love of plants first began in the veggie patch, and soon grew to become something much bigger!

We understand the blood, sweat and tears that go into nurturing each plant, the setbacks and frustration when things don't go to plan (or worse, die!), and the incredibly satisfying feeling when finally, after all the painstaking work, a plant flourishes under your loving care.

We are fortunate that here in sunny Queensland most plants grow well outdoors all year round. However, with our busy schedules and ever-shrinking backyards, it can be difficult to find the time or space to connect with nature. 

Our vision is to brighten every home with greenery where everyone can discover a plant to match their personality and lifestyle, and to enjoy the positivity of being surrounded by plants.

We want to share our passion for growing plants with others and are committed to propagating and sourcing beautiful, healthy and affordable plants. We are constantly experimenting with new varieties and expanding our range.
